If you can think back to earlier in the year, Victoria Square played host to an amazing live event depicting The Easter Story. 'The Passion For Bolton' had housands of people engrossed and watching what was such a moving event.
As Christmas is approaching the Christian community are inviting you to turn your shopping trip into a Christian experience and a a Living Nativity will be in the town centre with the aim of promoting the real message of Christmas.
There will be a stable scene on 17th and 18th December in The Crompton Place Shopping Centre as well as actors and narrators to tell the story of the birth of christ.
Members of the public, both adults and children, will be invited to dress as Mary and Joseph, shepherds, angels, innkeepers, people in the crowd, or the Three Kings. This will be your chance to “Get in the Picture”. You will not need to learn lines, nor will you need any acting skills or experience.
The narrator will tell the story, and the actors will play out scenes, then you can have your picture taken. The photos will then be uploaded onto the “Get in the Picture” national website http://www.getinthepicture.org.uk/welcome.htm where you can download copies for your own use to send to friends and family or put on facebook for a great and fun way to remember the season.
