October Half Term, Things To Do In Bolton During The Half Term School Holidays

October Half Term is almost here with most schools in Bolton being off from Monday 24th Octber to Friday 28th October and no doubt families across Bolton will be looking for things to do this half term.

October Half Term can be one of those strange times of year when the children are off but not knowing quite what to do. The weather often isnt great so we are looking for things to do inside mostly although we can have some beautiful October Days so those outside venues in Bolton are worth a mention.

So here are a few dates for your diaries of things to do over the Octber Half Term Holidays in Bolton

The Albert Halls are bringing the Mr Men Party Live Roadshow to town on Tuesday 25th october. A fun packed event for all the family.

Bolton Museum, as always with lots going on for all ages, keeping them busy over the Bolton half term holidays. On Thursday 27th October you can head over to Smithills Hall for their Spooky Crafts getting ready for Halloween. 

'Things That Glow In The Dark' on October 26th 2pm-5pm

Dinosaur Discovery Workshop Handle ancient fossils and life size casts of dinosaur bones in our interactive blanket dig on Tuesday 25th Octber at Central Library or Heaton Library on Thursday 13th October and Farnworth Library on Thursday 20th October from 6pm - 7pm.

Do your children love science? Bolton University are running a Messy Science day at their Deane Campus on 26th October or a Science Treasure Trail on 27th October.

Bolton Aquarium is a great place to visit for all the family with a fantastic array of sealife. Open daily, more information can be found out about them by visiting the Bolton Museum and Aquarium Website. You can also get involved in Fish Feeds each day at 1.30 where you can see a variety of species being fed.

Cineworld in Bolton is a fantastic place to visit during the half term holidays. With special showings of films for children and film clubs in the morning or coming along as a family to see that new release, Cineworld Bolton is a fantastic choice as it was voted the most loved cinema in the UK by local people.

If your child loves Bob The Builder then they are in for a real treat as he is visiting the Market Place Bolton over half term.

If you are needing childcare for October Half Term why not try one of the Sports Camps at Bolton Arena They do a fantastic range of half term activities with the camps being split into two age groups 5-8 year olds and Over 8's.

The Octagon Theatre in Bolton are once again putting on their' Pla in a Week' half term project where children aged 8-11 can spend the week exploring their creative side with a view to putting on a play at the end of the week for parents, friends and carers. 

Half Term Sports Camp are hosting open to all children aged 5-12 years. Fully qualified sports coaches covering cricket, football and multiskills.

Or how about Bolton Lads and Girls Club Half Term Project from 8am-6pm every day. Childcare from as little as £6 per day.

Lucozade powerleague Bolton have half term soccer camps running from 10am-3pm each day.

Whatever your plans over the October Half term, enjoy yourself but make sure you save enough energy for Halloween and Bonfire Night coming next!
