Nevada Roller Skating Sessions In Bolton A Fantastic Low Cost Party Venue

Both my children have winter birthdays and my daughter is now 14 and my son 9, so finding birthday party venues or events is getting more and more difficult. I wont bow down the the expectation of spending hundreds of pounds on a birthday party and neither do I want to travel miles but I accept gone are the days of having a simple party at home where you have a friends gathering and they all go home after two hours!.

Well this year I had heard a couple of positive things about roller skating sessions at Little Lever Leisure Centre called NEvada (not NAvada, the skating rink formerly on Spa Road) and so had a look around their website to see that they also offer the facility for birthday parties.

I contacted the Nevada and made some enquiries and they were exceptionally helpful, giving me all the information I needed, cost, timings and what to expect so I booked it. A joint party for a 14 year old teenage girl and a 10 year old boy!

When we arrived we were met by one of the members of staff who showed us to the area we had been allocated for food and seating and explained how it all worked.  The staff of which there were quite a few, were busy setting up the venue with a great music system, tuck shop, glitter ball and all the trimmings you would expect from a professional roller disco.

The session, which was open to the public too, ran from 1.30-3.30pm with free skating, spot light games, speed skating and lots of staff making sure the children were safe and sticking to the rules. They even did the YMCA in the middle of the room on roller skates which was very impressive.

Nevada Roller Skating sessions is a real gem of a find, not only for birthday parties but for a great, energetic low cost activity for your children. The cost of the sessions are £3.50 and that is the same price per head for a birthday party unless you are taking more than 10 children and then they give you a reduced price of £3.00 per head. You can take your own food and drink to the party or if you are a visitor you can purchase from the tuck shop on site.

Overall both my children and their friends had a fantastic time having fun, using energy and a unique, low cost birthday party all rolled into one.

I would not hesitate to recommend the Nevada Roller Rink if you are looking for a birthday party venue or simply something to do on a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon.
