Wilds Accountants are an accountancy firm based just outside of Bolton in Radcliffe. Ken Nash is one of the board members at Wilds and he sat down and answered a few questions about what running your own business entails.
Ken was honored to be asked to join the board of Wilds when the firm he was with acquired Wilds back in 1999. The chance to grow a business with like-minded colleagues really appealed to him.
Since then, the business has grown considerably, with their most memorable moment being crowned AVN accountancy firm of the year. This was a national award, a great achievement for the team and shows the team effort that goes into running Wilds every day.
Wilds can make a real difference to companies. Ken believes that accountancy these days is about more than just the numbers. It’s about working with clients and helping them grow and achieve the business and lifestyle they want for their (employees and) family. Helping business owners achieve their goals and ambitions they have for themselves and their business is really important to Wilds.
Without goals and the ambition to attain them a business will simply drift and leave the owner with a feeling of what could have been, and he hates to see potential wasted.
If Ken was to offer any advice to anyone thinking of starting their own business, he would say take as much advice as possible, and don’t let the peddlers of negativity get you down. You can do anything.
