Michael Ward are one of the leading refrigeration companies in the UK, we asked David, their Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Manager a few questions of what it's like to be in business!
1) What makes your business stand out from the crowd?
Michael Ward Ltd was established in 1975 in Bolton, providing emergency service and maintenance to transport refrigeration systems. Since this time the company has grown steadily to an engineering workforce of 50 local and regional service engineers.
Our commercial refrigeration and air conditioning department was established in 2012 to compliment our busy transport refrigeration division. We now serve a growing number of clients on both sides of the business and can offer the full refrigeration installation, service and maintenance package, 24 Hr/365 Days a year.
We pride ourselves on providing a friendly, knowledgeable and value for money service at all times. Our team has many years experience in the commercial sector and understands your business requirements.
Our aim going forward to is to increase our client base around the North West, in particular the Bolton area.
We provide no-obligation site visits, including detailed estimates and quotations.
Should you have any requirements please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you!
2) Who do you look up to in business?
There are many people I admire in business but the one (well known) person would be Sir Richard Branson.
It's quite remarkable how he came from humble beginnings to where he is today. From selling records in the early 70's to building an airline and train company is quite something!
His ability to adapt to change and diversify, whilst at the same time being a genuinely nice guy is pretty amazing!
3) What's in your fridge right now?
Definitely mayonnaise, my wife loves it.
2 bottles of San Miguel.
A pudding from Tesco that has my name on it!
4) As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
The usual. Police officer, racing driver, secret agent, pilot etc.
My father was a refrigeration engineer from leaving school to retiring. I got the bug after helping out during school holidays and weekends.
It's very satisfying when you can help someone out, and I liked that about the job.
Sometimes when you enjoy something, you just run with it!
