As you should be aware by now, the Bolton Food & Drink Festival is just around the corner. Yes, I've blogged about it before (including here where I detail what will be occuring, and here where I discuss Izabela's @ Vanilla Red's participation), but here's some more information, information about an exciting Festival Contest taking place. It's a contest that will be hotly contested; there may be violence, who knows.
That's right, it's the competition to find BOLTON'S BEST POTATO HASH. Yes, you heard me correctly, that time is finally here.
As part of Bolton Food & Drink Festival, Mecca Bingo will be looking for the best example of that great Northern delicacy. It will be taking place at the Mecca Bolton Club on Saturday the 25th August, and entrants are asked to bring a bowl to be sampled from 11am onwards. Entry forms are available at the club now.
And, even more exciting, it will be judged by an esteemed, sophisticated and costly judging panel. Now, up until the present time, that panel has been kept as a heavily guarded secret. But I can now reveal to you, exclusively, one of the judges . . . Me. Indeed, I will be one of the people judging your entries, and deciding the winner of the £150 prize.
So get involved. Get cooking and perfecting that recipe, and get down to Mecca Bolton on Saturday from 11am onwards. You could be a winner with Bolton Food & Drink Festival 2012.
