Mecca Bingo Bolton are holding a charity auction and are encouraging their customers to buy a yellow daffodil to show their support for Marie Curie Cancer Care, as part of a month long fundraising appeal for the charity.

As of the 21st March Mecca had raised an astounding £137,386 across all their clubs in the UK, a fantastic amount which is only set to increase once the final total is in.

To raise the money, Mecca asked all their customers to buy one of the yellow daffodil pins and wear it all month long, to mark the Great Daffodil Appeal which runs throughout March.

Mecca was also “auctioning off” two of its staff, membership manager Will Clarke and main bingo caller Tom Henderson. Whoever successfully bids for Tom in the auction will win an hour of his time to help around their house, whilst the lucky winning bidder of Will will go on a date with him.

The drive also had the backing of Bolton Wanderers players Stuart Holden and Chung-Yong Lee.

Marie Curie provides nursing care to terminally ill patients and their families in their own homes or in one of the charity’s nine hospices. It’s never too late to donate to this incredibly worthwhile cause.
