Market Place Europe Set To Delight The Town With Exotic Cuisine Thanks To The 2012 Global Village Market

Bolton is steadily becoming THE place for all things food. Following on from the runaway success of this years Food & Drink Festival, Market Place Europe will be bringing some of the finest food, drink and craft traders to Victoria Square from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th of October.

The four-day festival will feature 40 traders from China, Thailand, India, New Zealand and South Africa, joining European stall-holders from France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece. It's clear that the people of Bolton love attending food markets, but it is once again expected that people will travel from across the UK to attend, further boosting Bolton's reputation as a culinary capital.

Visitors will be able to sample and buy an incredible range of unusual delicacies such as impala (a type of antelope), ostrich, crocodile and wild boar meat, as well as a more familiar selection includng Indian curries, Thai noodles, French pastries and tarts, Greek deli food, and Spanish paella.

Seeing as it is the season of beer festivals, there will also be a German beer tent and a traditional German salami and sausage house. There will be Baklava and sweet cakes from the Middle East, Dutch pancakes, French cheeses, Belgian chocolate and Italian nougat also on the menu.

This is just a small sample of the food available. On top of all this, the shoppers amongst you can indulge yourselves further whilst browsing the stalls selling pashminas, hats, scarves, French knitwear, and Swarovski crystals.
