thebestof Bolton are delighted to welcome aboard our newest member, the Duke William Inn. is a charming local pub which is perfectly situated in the pretty village of Ainsworth, and there is a lot to be excited about.

Since being relaunched recently, the Duke William's menu has been completely overhauled by head-chef Gregg Wrigley, boasting exciting dishes which use locally-sourced produce. All food is cooked fresh to your order, using only the finest ingredients, and with a regularly updated special's board and stunning dessert menu, a great meal is guaranteed. Menu highlights include homemade Chicken Liver and Cognac Pate, the Duke's Tower Burger, and a Blueberry and Sambuca Cheesecake.

To go with the tantalising tastes produced by the Duke William, there are some excellent deals to make your bank account happy too. A 'Two For £10' menu has something for everyone, and is available Monday - Friday (12.00-2.30/5.00-6.00). Great prices, but with the same high-quality food. And, if you're dining with a child on Sunday, they get a free meal with every two full-paying adults.

If you'd like a spot of breakfast after a long and difficult week, they've got that covered for you too. Their Breakfast Club is on a Saturday and Sunday, from 10AM, and includes complimentary newspapers and free tea and coffee refills.

And, in even more food news, the Duke will soon be launching a pizza delivery service. Available on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, between 9-12, you can be sure the pizza's will be excellent. When more information is available, you'll be the first to know.

To top it all off, the Duke William has become an official stockist of Holden's Ice Cream. This is very exciting for us here at thebestof Bolton, as it marks the start of a collaboration between two of our members. It also means visitors to the pub get to taste some amazing ice cream.

But there is more to the Duke William than just their delicious dishes. Every other Wednesday is the Quiz Night. So why not get your friends together, form a team, and pit yourselves against others in subjects such as general knowledge, sport, geography, literature and much more. There are great prizes available, with a 'Play Your Cards Right' jackpot on top of all that. Definitely worth a go, I'm sure you'll agree. The next one is on the 8th August, so get involved.

However, if that all sounds to taxing for you, why not sit back and let someone else do all the entertaining? The Duke William has a great programme of live acts coming up. This Friday, Stranded, a fantastic female duo, will be performing, starting at 8.30PM. Past performances suggest it will be a fantastic evening. For a full list of the schedule for the upcoming months, check out the website.

If farmers markets are your thing, the Duke is looking to host another for the village of Ainsworth and beyond, hoping to build upon the great succes of the first. Feedback fromt hat event was nothign but positive, and the council are currently trying to organise another. Again, look out for more news regarding that.

As you can see, there is so much going on at the Duke William in Ainsworth, a lot to be excited about. We here at thebestof Bolton are greatly looking forward to working with Jamie and the rest of the staff over there, and will continue to bring you more details regarding what they've got happening.
