Laser Hair Removal Centre In Bolton Things You Always Wanted To Know

Laser Hair Removal in Bolton! I have been visiting The Laser Hair Removal Centre on Blackburn Road for a couple of sessions now. This was something that I really viewed, from a position of lack of knowledge, as out of my price range and would be a VERY expensive treatment. That assumption I now know to be totally misguided.

I have previously used waxing for hair removal and although the cost per treatment is less than a course of laser hair removal, it soon becomes clear that the on-going costs of wazing very quickly overtakes the toptal cost of a course of Laser Hair Removal, which of course is permanent. Penny and her team at the Laser Hair Removal Clinic in Bolton would be happy to answer any of your questions regarding treatment but in the meantime she has put together some information below

ALL THE THINGS YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT LASER HAIR REMOVAL AND DIDN’T DARE TO ASK!

1 Does it hurt?

Innovative vacuum-assist technology offered by the Lightsheer Duet means it is comparatively pain free and fast. Most people compare the feeling to the snap of an elastic band.

2 How many treatments are required?

As with any depilation method, it is not possible to be specific, but a number of treatments must be expected.

A typical treatment protocol may be suggested which consists of six treatments spaced four to eight weeks apart. Clients may expect at least 90% hair reduction after six sessions. This may vary as to individual skin type and treatment response.

3 Is laser hair removal permanent?

Yes, provided you commit to a full course as recommended by your technician, you can expect a 90% permanent reduction. However, some clients may have medical conditions or be taking medication that may affect the long term result. Also, menopause often brings about more hair growth in women.

4 How much does it cost?

It is surprisingly cost effective to have laser hair removal. With the development of the increased spot size the technician can now do treatments more rapidly and therefore can charge less. You can expect to pay around £50 per treatment for the bikini area for example. If you compare it to a lifetime of waxing or threading its very economical.

5 Can all skin types and hair colours be treated?

The LightSheer Duet Laser is suitable for all skin types, hair types and most hair colours. It can even treat lighter hair with little pigment. It has been found that red hair will respond to treatment on occasions but white and grey hairs do not respond.

6 Can all parts of the body be treated?

With the exception of eyebrows, yes – even sensitive areas like the ears, nose, chest and bikini line.

7 Are there any side effects?

The most common after affect is redness and mild irritation of the skin that can last for a day or so. Slight blistering or crusting can occur but this is rare and usually clears in a few days. With certain skin types changes in skin colour (either darker or lighter) can occur. This would normally settle with time although complete return to normal pigmentation cannot be guaranteed.

8 Is the treatment safe?

Yes. Lasers have been used in medicine for over 30 years and there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that the treatment can lead to skin disorders or an increased risk of skin cancer.

9 Should anyone avoid this treatment?

The treatment should be avoided by anyone who is hypersensitive to light or has an outbreak of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) or vitiligo (natural loss of skin pigment). If you have the rare disorder Epidermolysis Bullossa you should avoid laser treatment.

10 How do I know they are good practitioners?

Go for a consultation (these are usually free) and make sure they do a thorough medical questionnaire and explain the treatment and what you can expect. Get a feel for their professionalism.  Find out what laser they are using; the best lasers for hair removal are Diode Lasers. The Lumenis Lightsheer Duet Laser is the latest technology in rapid, safe, hair removal for all skin types. The clinic should be registered with the local council.
