A credit union is a financial organisation that is not for profit and offer loans, savings, current accounts and occasionally mortgages to their members, who will all have something that joins them together and will aim to benefit the community in some way.The biggest credit union in Bolton is Hoot and in Hoot’s case their connection is that every member lives or works in Bolton.  

Hoot will be at Leverhulme Children’s Centre every Thursday between 10am and midday. Hoot provides discounts on electrical items, low cost affordable loans and secure savings and if you recommend a friend to Hoot you will be entered into a free prize draw.

Not only that, Leverhulme Children's Centre have a Citizens Advice Bureau representative on site every Thursday between 10am and 12pm as well. It is free to attend and they will try and resolve your problems. The Citizens Advice Bureau can help you solve money or debt worries, give advice on legal matters, support you with personal issues, sort out tax issues, work with you on any benefit problems you might be having and finally assist you with housing and employment issues.
