Hospital and community staff from across the North West, who treat, care for or support cancer patients as part of their professional role are being sought to join a massed Choir as part of an inspirational concert 'Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long', being staged on Saturday 7th December 2013 in the Victoria Hall, Bolton.

The concert presented by Bolton Cancer Voices, which also features Besses o' th' Barn Band and guest compere Dr Kevin Jones â Consultant Chest Physician at the Royal Bolton Hospital and a popular comedic after- dinner Speaker, holds promise of a night filled with song and laughter to get the festive season off to a great start. The programme is packed with all the familiar favourites that make a welcome reappearance in our lives at this time of year and with plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in it should be a lively and enjoyable evening for the whole family.

Professionals and any cancer patients or cancer survivors interesting in taking part in the event need to be available to attend rehearsals on the 4 Mondays leading up to the concert starting on Monday 11th House, Silverwell Street, Bolton from 7.30pm - 9.30pm; participants must also be able to attend the Dress Rehearsal from 10am - 1pm on the day of the performance. As places on stage are limited anyone interested should book now; further details are available from the Chair of Bolton Cancer Voices - Karen Elliott - on 01204 595562 / 07773 164235 or boltoncancervoices@yahoo.com

Karen said: - 'We really want to bring everyone together in a great night of festive entertainment. Hopefully there are lots of healthcare professionals across the region that love singing and will be keen to share in this wonderful event; we sincerely hope they won't be shy in coming forward! It would also be fantastic to hear from more cancer patients and cancer survivors; everyone will be made most welcome. The musical numbers selected to be performed by the massed Choir are in unison so no one should be put off by their lack of experience; participants don't need to be able to read music, there are no auditions and no fees to worry about.'

Tickets for 'Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long' are available from the Albert Halls Box Office on 01204 334400 / www.alberthalls-bolton.co.uk priced £5-00. November. Rehearsals will take place at the Friendsâ Meeting
