Fieldings Porter Solicitors have launched a new initiative to make access to legal services easier for the local community. They will be working with community partners to hold a series of free legal clinics across Bolton. These will provide a drop-in service at which people can have a short chat with legal advisers and get answers to questions such as whether they are eligible for legal aid, whether they have a case in law or how they might proceed with their enquiry. The next clinic is on Monday 2 July at Masefield primary School, Masefield Road, Bolton, Little Lever, BL3 1NG from 3.45pm – 5.30pm. Fieldings Porter is working with community partners in Halliwell and Westhoughton to provide clinics in those areas as well.
Edward Nally, Senior Partner at Fieldings Porter is delighted with the development, saying;
We know that visiting a solicitor and asking for advice can be very daunting for many reasons, and that many people may have mobility issues which make visiting the town centre difficult. People also worry about the cost of legal services. These clinics will provide an opportunity to answer simple questions, allow people to find out if they are eligible for legal aid and the potential cost of any action they may wish to take. We take our commitment to local communities in Bolton and Westhoughton very seriously, and are excited to be introducing this initiative.
