Bolton will be flying the flag for the Armed Forces as part of National Armed Forces Week on Saturday 23 June.

The Armed Forces flag will be raised over the Town Hall on Saturday 23 June at 11.00 a.m.  The Vicar of Bolton will conduct a short service attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, which will finish with the National Anthem.

There will also be a number of events in Victoria Square including a display of military vehicles, a climbing wall for children, a number of charity stalls and a raffle of a barrel of beer for Help the Heroes charity.

Councillor Guy Harkin, Mayor of Bolton commented: "Armed Forces and Veterans Week is a time for us to show our gratitude to Britain's armed forces of past, present and the future. We'd like to invite all Boltonians to come along to these events and to think of all those who are currently serving in the forces around the world."
