Winter is nearly here, and it’s the time we should all be thinking about having our flu vaccinations. This is something people usually put off, whether it be the cost, time etc but it’s a must!

A flu vaccination should be given to everyone over the age of 6 months, the flu jab can be great if you often suffer from the flu virus which normally occurs in elderly people, pregnant women, children and adults with health problems and weakened immune systems.

A lot of people forget about having their flu jab, but did you know that from early October, you can get your flu jab at Sykes Chemist for only £9.75.

Flu jabs are free for some patients, those with asthma, diabetes, COPD, thyroid, chronic kidney or liver problems, autoimmune disease etc, aged 18-65, pregnant women, chronic heart disease, and chronic neurologic disease and for carers of elderly people.

The branches of Sykes Chemist which are supplying flu vaccinations are, Gatleys, Sykes and Noble & Peacock.

PLUS if you’re in a business with more than 10 employees, Sykes will come to you to provide flu vaccinations, which will stop days off sick!

Appointment isn’t necessary but it is definitely worth calling first to make sure the pharmacist is on duty and the vaccine is in stock.
