A special range of costumes that Fancy That have for World Book Day are Horrible Histories costumes. These books are set in different periods in history and are extremely popular.

World Book Day is on the 6th March this year. The aim of the day is to encourage more people to read. Schools across the country have been collecting book tokens. Reading is a fabulous way of escaping to another world, learning about current events or even just a way of spending time with the children by reading them a bedtime story before they go to bed.

The organisers of World Book Day also support the Readathon, which raises funds for children suffering with serious illness and encourages kids to read more books. Every school that takes part receives free books from Scholastic, so if you know a school that isn’t participating yet, get them involved. You could organise an assembly devoted to books and other fun events.

Fancy That have so many costumes, the whole school could wear a different outfit. Remember their shop is on Chorley Old Road
