If you have any unwanted books stashed in your cupboard that you don't read anymore then why not donate them to a good cause, Bolton CVS.

Bolton CVS want to improve people’s literacy skills and to do this they need to raise some funds first. They hope to do this through selling wanted books, and all money raised will then be reinvested in grants and training courses. Prices for books start from as little as a penny plus delivery costs.

You can buy or donate books to Bolton CVS online via Amazon.co.uk. The address is http://www.amazon.co.uk/shops/boltoncvsbookappeal. Any books donated should be in good condition, any genre and preferably paperback to reduce the cost of postage.

You can also drop off donated books in person. There are several places you can go to around Bolton. These are the Bolton Hub on Bold Street, Bolton, BL1 1LS, The One Stop Shop at Bolton Town Hall, The Castle Hill Centre, Castleton Street, off Tonge Moor Road, Bolton, BL2 2JW and finally Globe Works, Lower Bridgeman Street, Bolton BL2 1DG. If you plan to go to Lower Bridgeman Street then although it is open between 9am and 5pm, Bolton CVS ask you telephone David or John first on 01204 387410 to plan a delivery time.

If you have lots of books or can’t get to any of the drop off points then Bolton CVS might be able to pick them up for you. Call them on 01204 387410 to discuss this.
