The annual ‘Davies Shield’ golf day at Bolton Old Links is on Monday 12 September in aid of my charity KiDs of Bolton.
Do you love golf and want to support a fantastic loca cause? KiDs of Bolton a charity headed up by Kevin Davies is hosting the Davies Sheild Annual Golf Day. If you would like to get involved, read the information from Kevin below.
It’s time to stop the gloating of last year’s winners, Jussi Jaaskelainen’s Team 22, and find a new team of champions. Last year’s event was a huge success and due to the high demand and interest for the 2011 event we are operating a first come first served basis for applications to enter. The shot gun start time will be 1.45pm. I am sure this will please most of you after observing all the nerves on the first tee last year!
Entrance is £400 per team of four to include the round of golf, food, prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, closest to the pin, longest drive and a hole in one prize on a selected par 3. There will be plenty of other opportunities for you to win some great prizes on the day and this year we will be introducing a mini golf clinic and tented village.
We are looking for a main sponsor for the event and we also have the opportunity for you to brand your company’s logo on individual holes on the tee bed and the flag. I will also be doing all interviews in front of an ad board with all local and national media. Spaces on this board are also available and I would be happy to discuss your donations to get your brand advertised on this board.
We are also looking for any assistance on the day whether it be a helping hand or some sort of donation for goody bags, prizes, raffle and auction. I hope you can join us on what will be a great day of golf and a chance to help my charity and also make some new friends along the way.
