If you want to start Christmas and celebrate it by doing something fun then come along to the Market Place as their festive events are going to be as exciting as ever.

The Market Place Shopping Centre are going big on Christmas this year, with extravagant decorations, entertainment for shoppers, carols around the huge Christmas tree and it gets even better, Santa will be here, in his grotto for the festive period.

The grotto will be open from Thursday to Sunday every week, even on Monday 23rd December but not only that, it's free for all to come along and visit Santa. All children will get the chance to meet Santa and tell him what they wish for this year, they even get a small chocolate gift to take away with them! If your children would like to post their Christmas list to Santa, there will also be a special post box on the upper ground floor near Starbucks, and every letter sent will receive a reply from Santa!

From Thursday 28th November to 22nd December you can even have the chance to have breakfast or tea with Santa, but only if you've been good this year. Youngsters can come along and enjoy Tea with Santa every Thursday at 5pm from 28th November to 19th December and breakfast with Santa every Sunday at 9:30am from 1sr December to 22nd December. If you would like to come along make sure you book your tickets as soon as you can as places are limited and will quickly sell out.

On Tuesday 26th November, the magical snow globe will arrive at the Market Place on the ground floor and you and your family or friends will get the chance to have your photo taken in front of a traditional snow scene, this will be open every day until 31st December.

Who loves Lofty the Lion? I know I do, well the Bolton Wanderers Football Club mascot will be making an appearance at the Market Place with the Reebok Rebels Cheerleaders on Saturday 23rd November to launch the BWFC VIP Mascot Competition.

It doesn't stop there, the Market Place will be open until 8pm every night just for those Christmas Shoppers this festive period. This will take place from 21st November until the 19th December with an additional late night on Monday 23rd December for those last minute shoppers!

There is so much going on at the Market Place this year and it will definitely be something not to miss, there's something for everyone and it will surely help you find the perfect gift for your loved ones with the late night opening.
