How exciting that Bromley Cross has been named the fifth best place in the country for young families to set up home.

Bromley Cross was chosen from around 2400 postcodes across England and Wales and was selected because of its strong school results, property affordability and local facilities such as the local library.

The top ten list was as follows

1. Winkleigh, Devon

2. South Petherton, Somerset

3. Galgate, Lancashire

4. Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees

5. Bromley Cross

6. Shebbear, Devon

7. Great Ayton, North Yorkshire

8. Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands

9. Moor Row, Cumbria

10. Bromyard, Herefordshire

Analysts examined more than 60 sets of data to build up a detailed picture of each postcode in England and Wales using police figures, Land Registry Information, Ofsted reports and ONS population date. The quantity and quality of early years care, green spaces and parks and local facilities were also taken into consideration.

Its really great to hear of a Bolton suburb being named in a national table and just shows what a fantastic place Bolton is.
