The bestof bolton is pleased to announce that the One Big Weekend Show returns to Leverhulme Park, Bolton again this year and this year will be bigger and better than anything previously seen. Last years event was a huge success despite the weather being very unkind but this year sees many new acts and activities. Henry Hill of North West Funfairs says that this event is going to be huge in Bolton.

Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th September 2011 12pm to 9.30pm day

The show  starts on Thursday 1st September with a giant funfair and fireworks followed by The One Big Weekend Show

Saturday brings a day of attractions and again a fantastic firework display in the evening.

The show will be officially opened on the 3rd September 2011 by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton at 1pm they will be supportedby two of the of the Emmerdale cast (Natalie J Robb) Moira Barton farmerswife and Barmaid at the Woolpack Natalie formerly acted in the Bill, Taggartand Doctors and Joe Warren-Plant (Jacob Gallagher) a cheeky eight year old whoarrived in the village in 2010.

Other attractions are

• Titan the Robot on Sunday 4th Sept. Titan is an eight foot robot who has been on GMTV he has also toured with JLS. Titan crushes metal, and if your face fits he will throw you a one liner or sing a song.
• The World Champion Stunt Team on both Saturday and Sunday
• Englands Biggest Tobbogan Slide.
• A new attraction to the show will be the sticky wall were people stick to the walls at speeds of eighty miles per hour when the floor is removed leaving them stuck to the wall. 
• The Yanks are coming to Bolton to display their military vehicles.  

There will be a traditional Bolton fairground organ will be playing for the Mayors charity and Bolton Lads and Girls Club will be having Beat the Goalie competitions to raisefunds for charity.

As well as all the above there will be a huge selection of charity stalls  a craft marquee and a childrens inflatable play area.

They will be bringing original Blackpool donkeys  and there will be Street Dancers Live bands in the stage throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday

Cartoon charactors will be doing a walk around meet and greet.
