Sunderland 1 Bolton 0

A very disappointing result this weekend for the Wanderers and to be honest it was not the team that turned upto face The Blackcats who have been flying in the premiership this season.

Ok we lost and as a fan I will not just pick holes into the under performance the lads showed for a good 60 minutes at Sunderland.

We have to look at what we are achieving and any Bolton fan would have took being 7th in the league at this stage of the season.

The match was not dirty but the referee was blowing up for everything and the one thing I do not like seeing is diving, and Steve Bruce was huffing and puffing on the touchline and screaming at every tackle a Bolton player went in for.

Danny Welbeck (another Utd player on loan) got the only goal of the game after some very sloppy defending.

We need to learn to keep a clean sheet and even though we went behind we always feel Bolton can pull it out of the bag, but not this time.

Gordons save from a point blank Zat Knight shot was world class and if it had gone in, the 2nd half could have been so differant.

Klasnic also had the chance to grab a last gasp point for Wanderers but totally mis-shot his effort.

So we have a busy christmas period with games against West Brom (h) Chelsea (a) Liverpool (a) and we have to come back fighting starting with Brom.

Man of Match: Davies
