Bolton’s community is nothing short of incredible.
At the heart of it all is Bolton Lads and Girls Club, the UK’s biggest youth centre. With over 3000 members split into four different sessions (Senior club, junior club, deaf group & independence group) it just goes to show the sheer amount of love and compassion that the volunteers have at the club.
Bolton Lads and Girls club run a superb mentoring project where young people who are classed as vulnerable and at risk are paired with a volunteer mentor who will befriend, support and build a trusting relationship with them.
The club have won many awards too, the Queens Award for Voluntary Services, the Cabinet Office "Gold Star" status and "Approved Provider" status by the National Mentoring and Befriending Foundation. Proving that the work they do is nothing short of phenomenal.
It makes us feel warm and so grateful to walk the same streets as these super human volunteers. Healing the community with the work detailed above, alongside fundraising and a myriad of other activities.
If you feel you need their help and support, or know someone that does, do not hesitate to get in contact with them:
