Bolton Halloween Ideas and Events- Whats On In Bolton For Halloween

Summer is now well and truly over as I write this blog. I can hear the wind howling round my office and the rain battering the window so it feels just about the right time to be writing a blog for Halloween.

Bolton is no exception when it comes to getting all spooky and there are some fantastic activities going on for Halloween both within the town and slightly further afield.

As always Halloween is headed up by our very own wonderful Bolton Museum where you can take part in Spooky Crafts, Caspers Ghost Tours, and Ghost and History Tours.

Why not enjoy a Spooky Halloween Walk at Queens Park in Bolton, full of surprises with live actors, ghouls and pyrotechnics

If you fancy more of a Halloween Party, then Bolton has a few to offer at various venues. Westhoughton Communiversity or Pharaoh's Childrens Play Area, a charity Halloween Party supporting Lagans Foundation. Samberjacks in Bolton are holding their Halloween Party on 29th October and tickets for that are available now. Junior Whites are holding their Halloween party on 27th October with the promise of players dropping by taking part in some of the games they have planned.

Smithills Open Farm is always a great place to be over Halloween, with sppoky tours, dressing up and lots to see and do.

For fun and crafts why not head over to Middlebrook. They have a Monster Halloween Event on the 29th October and a Batty about Bats Event on the 30th October.

If you love a psychic night then head off to Hardy Hall in Little Lever for the 'Into the Light Psychic tour' and a little later into November you can take part in 'Dead Live' which is hoping to be the largest simultanious Ghost Hunt in haunted venues across the UK all on the same night. On 15th October, famous medium Janet Crawford will be holding a Paranormal Night at the Brooklyn Pub, Green Lane, Bolton.

For those of you who would like a more refined night, why not book yourself a place at the Bolton Lads and Girls Club Halloween Ball at DeVere Whites, Bolton Hospice Autum Ball at the Holiday Inn or 'A Night for Jennifer at The Last Drop Village all these offer evening of fun and entertainment while supporting a fantastic local causes. Cinnamon Restaurant in Bolton invite you to join them for night of family fun with trick-or-treating and fancy dress, or try the ghoulish cocktails!

For an night out with a more adult theme, why not join the team at J2 on Nelson Square Bolton for their Cirque De J2 - Halloween Fancy Dress Ball! 29th October from 10.30pm

How about THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW! Special showing at Cineworld Bolton on 31st Octber 6.30pm and 8.30pm. Tickets on sale now

If you want to head out a little further afield, the Scare Kingdom in Blackburn may be just the ticket. Scare Kingdom Scream Park is the UK's newest Halloween entertainment park with ALL NEW attractions for 2011.

The Wildlife Trust in Bolton are holding an extra special event for disabled children and their families to celebrate all things halloween.


Witch's Brew

3 pints purple grape juice

1 1/2 pints club soda

grapes

apples

Mix the grape juice and soda in a pitcher. Cut the apple into small chunks. Float the fruit in the brew just before serving. Like magic, the grapes and apples will look just like eyes and teeth. Make a swizzle broomsticks for each cup, with a straw and black paper cut into a fringe.
