FESTIVAL OF LIGHT

BOLTON FAMILIES are being invited to a free fun packed afternoon showcasing talent from their local communities. Children from dance groups and other performing arts groups across the town will be on stage at the IKON nightclub in Bolton on Sunday 14 November.

Bolton youth rock bands will be Jammin’ to 400 screaming kids at Jaxx, in the basement, whilst one of the Northwest’s renowned soul bands “The Soul Brothers” (formerly Stax of Soul) will round off the family event in style.

Winners of Bolton’s Got Talent event ‘Our Day Remains’ lead guitarist Eshi Musaji says, “The Festival of Light should be heartily applauded and recognised as a fantastic opportunity for generating of live music to showcase their talent to the masses.”

Beforehand local businesses will be meeting for a Champagne style reception and networking prior to the event in the VIP Business Lounge.

Organised by Banks365 in association with Apna News the community event starts at 2pm with the aim of bringing communities, neighbourhoods and businesses closer together.  Banks 365 have organised many events across the town inviting groups from the Pride of Bolton event to perform again.

Director of Banks365 Reena Banks said, “The Festival of Light is a unique event which shares these successes and encourages more bridges to be built between business enterprise, public sector and the community. Our aim is to share the knowledge and experience by working together in constructive partnerships towards delivering on our communities present and future aspirations. By involving those who value this commitment and who have the interest of the community at heart, we know that much more is possible.

Ultimately, the event is a celebration of success recognising the pride and passion that lives and drives our town.

This is an opportunity for people to get involved and get to know each other better.  In the current reality of uphill challenges this is not a journey that needs to be taken alone, it’s crucial to share our knowledge, experiences, time and commitment.  The real challenge is bringing the key things together, which is successful because of the generosity of the people of Bolton.

This year Banks365 has been fortunate to work with some fantastic ambassadors representing many of our neighbourhoods within Bolton.  These people are stars within their own right, shining light in their neighbourhoods who make a real difference in our communities and for the town. It is only by coming together in this way that will enable us to deliver a brighter vision for Bolton.”
