Bolton Council launched their new 'Area Forum' initiative this week, aimed at enabling Bolton residents to discuss key issues and concerns in their local area with important members of the council.

Comprising of 18 individual Area Forums, the forums are open to anyone who lives, works or has an interest in a particular area of Bolton. Each Area Forum meets at a local venue such as a school or community centre and is made up of the local Ward Councillors and Officers.

Those attending can speak directly with the Councillors and Officers present about specific issues, discuss future plans for the area and meet members of the local community.

All Area Forum discussions are fed back to the Council for appropriate action where required and will help to form a greater picture of the current challenges and tasks required across Bolton as a whole.

More information on the Area Forums can be found on the Bolton Council website.
