George Ramm, Bolton born wrestling champion, has been selected to represent England at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next month.

17-year-old Ramm, sponsored by Love Energy Savings, competes in the 61kg category and trains at Sharples Wrestling Club.

The four-time English and twice-British champion said “This is my first Games and being selected for Team England is a real privilege.

“Being in the same environment as great athletes from around the world will be a fantastic experience and a great learning curve. I couldn’t have done this without the sponsorship from Love Energy Savings, they stepped in at a point of my career where it has been of true benefit to both myself and my family.”

George goes on to explain that the sponsorship has enabled him to train at camps abroad (Madrid, Ukraine and Austria to name but a few) which have some of the best partners and facilities.

His success is all down to his investment in equipment, training, travel and much more, but he couldn't have invested anything without Love Energy Savings support.

George was in third place at the Latvia Cup, got a silver medal from the Australian Youth Olympic Medal and won gold in a masters tournament.

We'll be cheering George on when the Commonwealth Games come to Glasgow next month.
