Big Bolton Tidy Up- Love Bolton Hate Litter

Love Bolton Hate Litter on Facebook

Do you love Bolton but hate the way it looks sometimes becauase of the litter that is around? The why not join forces with Bolton Council as it launches its fourth phase of the ‘Love Bolton Hate Litter’ campaign, the ‘Big Bolton Tidy Up’, which aims to encourage people to take responsibility for tidying up their own local area.

Council staff are encouraging community groups, schools and voluntary organisations across Bolton to carry out litter picks and clean-ups in their chosen areas. The council will be providing litter pickers, gloves, branded tabards and bags to these groups and encouraging them to do their bit for their local park, street or school.

Groups who register their interest are also given a downloadable guide for planning their clean up, which includes ideas for publicising it and a checklist to make sure the event is carried out safely.

Groups who are interested are able to register their details online, including which area they want to clean and on what date. We hope that residents and community groups will show pride in their local area and get involved in the ‘Big Bolton Tidy Up’.

How to get involved

Any groups interested in holding a Big Bolton Tidy Up can register online by clicking on the link on the top right hand side or contacting Environmental Services on 01204 336930.
