Local gas and renewable energy services company, BHE Services (Bolton) Limited, held an event recently to raise monies for Bolton Hospice.

The company, based at Wilkinson House, on Radcliffe Road, in Bolton, encouraged its 80-plus staff to bring into work unwanted items that could be sold in six of the hospice’s seven charity shops.

Staff rallied to the so called ‘Bring A Bag To Work Day’ event and helped to fill several large plastic bags with items such as clothes, books, CDs, and bric-a-brac. Bolton Hospice then came to collect the bags.

Mike Robinson, Managing Director of BHE Services (Bolton) Limited, said: “We were delighted with the response from staff to the Bring A Bag To Work Day event. As a local company, we try and support numerous charities over the year as part of our commitment to the town.

He added: “Bolton Hospice provides such an immensely important service to local people and we’re only too happy to do our bit to help it continue its work.”
