Ironman UK launches an Appeal for Volunteers at it’s Bolton Event on 19th July 2015
IRONMAN UK returns to Bolton on the 19th July 2015 and they need your help once again to make it the country’s premier triathlon event!
IRONMAN UK sold out in September 2014 and once again promises to be a spectacular day with 2,500 athletes taking part in the grueling endurance event which will see competitors from across the globe start with a 2.4 mile swim in Pennington Flash, cycle a 112 mile route through Rivington, Chorley and Adlington, and finish by running a full-length marathon to Bolton town center.
For all this to take place smoothly and without a hitch, it requires a great volunteer crew. Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of an event like IRONMAN UK.
Everyone who marshals has a story to tell, where he or she have somehow made a difference on the day.
There are plenty of positions available. Volunteers may help at registration, marshal the course, staff food and water stations, get involved in pre and post-race set up – and many more things!
