Alliance Learning's NEBOSH course is only £1093, down from the usual price of £1215

Alliance Learning have another ingenious course due to start soon, the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health or NEBOSH for short.

There are several aims of the course. It will help lay the foundations for a future job with occupational health and safety, support your businesses safety management programme, help you to evaluate workplace hazards and develop control methods and finally give you knowledge of health and safety legislation and its consequences.

The course will be held 1 day a week over 12 weeks. All managers and staff from businesses are welcome to attend and they will benefit from learning about different health and safety issues.

It will begin on Thursday 25th September and finishes on Thursday 6th December. Lunch and car parking costs are all included in the cost, which is only £1,093. Previously it was £1,215. The times of it are 9am-4pm at Alliance Learning’s Horwich centre.

A full list of the modules available are on the Alliance Learning website, but include transport hazards and control, foundations in health and safety and electrical hazards and control.

At the end of it you will get a NEBOSH certificate, the qualifications for the technician status of IOSH and you will have satisfied the entry requirements for the associate membership of the international institute of risk and safety management. You will be assessed by 2, 2 hour exams and a practical workplace based project. The exam will be done in 1 of Alliance Learning’s campuses and the project at your place of employment. It should take you no more than 3 hours to finish and you’ll have a week after the course concludes to send it back to Alliance Learning by post. You’ll find out whether or not you’ve passed approximately 8 weeks after the course finishes.
