Ice bucket challenges have been completed across the country recently and Alliance Learning apprentices and staff members were the latest company to take part in the challenge.

Both sites of Alliance Learning (Horwich and Leigh) participated in the challenge, totalling around 20 brave people taking part.

£75 was raised from everyone involved. This will be split between 3 charities, Bolton Hospice, Wigan and Leigh Hospice and ALS, although Alliance Learning would like to wish every charity raising money from the ice bucket challenge the best of luck. Alliance Learning nominated Transport Training Academy and Dentrain Professionals, their training partners, to do the ice bucket challenge next.

The ice bucket challenge was started in the USA to raise money for ALS, although exactly who was the very first is unclear.
