Add Value To Your North Devon Home With The Addition Of An Extra Bathroom

If you're not sure if you have extra room for an extra bathroom, Think again!  Adding a bathroom to your house is first and foremost based on the space you have and where you could fit another bathroom into your home.

Experts have found that a second or even a third bathroom can be squeezed into almost any house.  The space needed doesn't have to take up as much room as you'd think.

An area 3 feet by 5 feet handles a sink and toilet and just an extra 3ft is enough for a stylish shower too.  So where could you find space?

A walk-in closet is often turned into bathroom and it always looks better than a clutter of old handbags and those dusty shoes that looked great on the shelf, but make your feet ache. This can also be completed without tearing down walls.

Why not utilise the space under a staircase?  A sink and toilet usually will fit under the stairs.  Just remember to check the headroom before you begin.

The Hallway?  The hallway is not always the first place thought of, however, if there is an unused space just boasting a table and a window then why not change it to a functional, house-price boosting glamorous bathroom?

A larger room that is being unused, such as an extra dining room, reception room or spare office room can make way for a luxury bathroom with his and her sinks, taps, mirrors or even a double bath!  These rooms are often transformed into wet-rooms for elderly or disabled family members to make it easier for them to bathe and access the toilet.

Why not make an en-suite by stealing as little as 3ft from your bedroom?  If you fancy a deluxe bathroom that you can roll out of or into bed from then treat yourself to a tub there too.

If you have closets that are back-to-back this can be opened up and the space can measure as much as 4 feet by 4 feet, enough when adding a small bathroom.

How about stacking up?  If you have a utility room with a washer and a dryer, streamline them with modern stack-able washer/dryer appliances that take up less room – then reclaim the space to add a half bath.

Then there is always the loft.  If you're thinking of doing a loft conversion, then add a bathroom up there too to maximise the value in your home!  There's nothing stopping you now.
