The White Rock Theatre is a 1,000 plus seat venue on the Hastings’ sea front and is home to some of the best live music and entertainment in East Sussex. In fact it has 1,066 seats – of course!
Situated in a commanding position on the Hastings’ shoreline the White Rock Theatre is the perfect concert and theatre venue, with a Café Bar overlooking the venue’s wonderful sea view and Hastings’ newly opened pier. The Theatre’s programme is widely varied, including one night concerts from all music genres, musicals, drama, comedy and an annual pantomime that runs for two weeks during December.

The Sussex Studio – downstairs at the White Rock, encompasses a multi-functional and versatile space equipped with sound and lighting, a large area for projection, fully-licensed bar and sprung dance floor. The Sussex Studio is the ideal venue to hold your conference, celebration rehearsal or performance.
The Senior Management team at The White Rock Theatre consistently develop and monitor the venue’s business strategy to meet business targets and offer the residents of Hastings and beyond a first-class entertainment experience.
Theatre Director - Lorna Hollister
Lorna oversees all operations at the venue including programming, finances, health and safety and human resources. She is responsible for developing the business vision, policies and targets for the theatre, and to secure its recognition as a centre of excellence in the provision of entertainment on the South Coast. This position also provides leadership of theatre’s professional team, securing achievement of agreed business, artistic, attendance and service targets and is the main point of contact with Hastings Borough Council. Lorna gets married at the White Rock theatre at the end of June!
Hospitality General Manager – Kiera Turner
Kiera ensures that the venue’s customer service standards are maintained at the highest level throughout the business operations, which includes managing the White Rock cafe, bars and kiosks as well as the theatres own events programme.
Marketing Manager – Matt Jordan
Matt oversees all sales and marketing for the venue and its incoming productions ensuring a strong and strategic presence both locally and across the theatre’s catchment area. This involves managing a strong sales team, producing and operating a comprehensive marketing and development strategy and maintaining a positive profile in the media.
Technical and Building Manager – Adam Harkin
Adam operates all back stage areas, offering technical stage and lighting support to all productions. He is also in charge of building maintenance, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
