Surviving Christmas – End of summer Family Fun Day

 Surviving Christmas is a local charity that has been running for over 30 years in Hastings. Their main purpose is to help individuals and families that are in need, hardship or distress. The charity do a number of things over the Christmas period to help those who  are less fortunate by providing hampers which contain every day essentials such as food, drink and toiletries.

 The charity also host a 2 day event on Christmas and Boxing day at St Andrews square where they provide the following: Tea bar, Snacks, Hot meals, Showers, Clothing, Medical support, Hairdressing and a place for friendship for those homeless, lonely or without the cooking facilities over the Christmas period.

 The Family Fun day is a chance for people to come along to find out more about the charity and help the charity raise money in preparation for this year’s appeal.

 At the event there will be activities for people of all ages such as: Bouncy Castle, Pony rides, Coconut Shy, Face Painting, Tombola, Hoop-a-Duck, Peg-It, Lollipop Game and Hole in One. There will be food and refreshments stands at the event as well as music, magician and other local entertainers and Craft stalls.

 So if you are free on the 19th September come along with your family and have a great day out with Surviving Christmas and help them make a difference to those less fortunate.
