This year, in 2016, Hastings Week will mark the 950th Anniversary of the historic occasion, the Battle of Hastings, with Hastings Day being celebrated on Friday 14th October.  Make sure you don’t miss out on the fun!

And the spectacle begins!

Hastings Week officially began Saturday just gone (8th October) With an opening ceremony where the Marching units assembled outside The West Hill cafe and marching to Hastings Castle where speeches were delivered by the Mayor of Hastings and the Chair of the Hastings Weeks Committee.

 A morning and full day of events followed from the Hastings Classic Car show at The Stade to the Saxon times in the evening.

 The week itself has a full calendar of diverse events and activities, and the eight days are co-ordinated by the Hastings Week Committee

 

Hastings Bonfire celebrations – Saturday 15th October 2015

The highlight of the week has to be the Hastings Bonfire parade which is always spectacular.  The town comes out to celebrate and the atmosphere is amazing.

 The Hastings Borough Bonfire Society organise the event and fundraise on the night for local charities. The procession starts at 7.15pm with a superb firework display scheduled to start at 9.00pm.
