Optometrists, Sarah and Dominic Burchett, took over Webster Opticians in 2022 following the retirement of its founder. Sarah and Dominic both have over 20 years experience as Optometrists.

They have invested in the very latest equipment and frame selection to ensure that Webster Opticians continues as a leading local eye care practice.

Professional Team

Sarah is an active member of the Guernsey Macular Society, has a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and subsequently obtained a further degree in Optometry from City University, London.

Dominic is the fourth generation of his family to practice Optometry and also obtained his Optometry degree at City University, London.

After originally qualifying in the UK, and working in Brighton and the City of London, the couple moved to Guernsey in 2009. In 2016 Sarah was awarded Optometrist Of The Year by the UK Macular Society for her work locally in Guernsey.

The practice is also supported by locally qualified Optometrist Michelle, who has over thirty years worth of experience in Optometry across Guernsey and the UK. She also works at the PEH Orthoptic department supporting the Children’s clinic.

The rest of the team has a great deal of experience in the industry, including a qualified spectacle maker and two trainee Dispensing Opticians.

In total the team have over 125 years combined experience in eye care.

The teams’ continued training and development, enjoyment and happiness at work is at the very heart of the Practice.

Patient Focused

We use world leading equipment and utilise the skills of our experienced and professional staff to provide the best eye care possible.

We personally cater to all of our patients and ensure that their eye health is at the heart of every visit.

We aim to explain everything to our patients in a clear and jargon-free way.

Each eye-examination will be booked with at least 40 minutes with a qualified Optometrist. We are happy to see children from age 5 and above.

Our prices start from £65 for a complete pair of custom made prescription glasses.

We source the best products worldwide and have a wide range of frames and sunglasses on offer - now with over 1,400 styles in total - from prestigious and world renowned brands as well as many other brands to suit all budgets including but not limited to:

Monday - 9.00am until 7.00pm

Tuesday - 9.00am until 5.30pm*

Wednesday - 9.00am until 7.00pm

Thursday - 9.00am until 5.30pm

Friday - 9.00am until 5.30pm

Saturday - 9.00am until 1.00pm

* We do Staff Training on the 1st Tuesday of every month so we do not open until 10.15am on that day
