A colleague and I were working in Guernsey last Friday and decided to meet up with a long time mutual friend who lives there. We had reserved a table by the window and, with good spacing between tables, we were able to catch up and reminisce without interruption of others (or interrupting others!).
For convenience we all had the 'special', steak brocheta, cooked medium with frites and a mushroom sauce, served separately, This arrived without delay and the waitress was efficient, checking on how the food suited us after a few minutes.
Our time was limited, but we had ample time to enjoy the meal, each others company and the ambience of Muse.

Open from 8 till 5 every weekday, they have recently revitalised the place with a takeout section on one side and cafe on the other. Much better with light airy decor.
And the food is a great delight. Special today was steak on ciabatta with a mushroom sauce and skinny chip. Perfectly cooked steak, great chips and the mushroom sauce was so good that I would go back and ask for a big bowl of it and some bread as it was seriously that good. Soup of the day was vegetable and it was full of flavour and fresh herbs. Cake for pudding even comes in gluten and dairy free versions.
Not an extensive menu, but what they do they do extremely well including excellent fruit smoothies and superb coffees. All backed up with charming staff.
Definite place to visit regularly!!!!

I love the place for breakfast. It is buzzing with people from the nearby offices. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. You are offered drinks on arrival which is great unlike some places. The breakfast especially the eggs are fantastic, I could eat there every day. Lunches are good in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and even get a tan! Beautiful food in a nice friendly environment that you don't want to miss.

I like this place for lunch, they do a good menu but i don't think it gives you a lot to choose from. The salads and sandwiches are great from here also the cakes!!

Whilst in Guernsey we recently had breakfast in Muse. We all (3 of us) had different breakfasts and they were all very good. (One of the breakfast was the wrong order but it was very quickly rectified.
I would visit again.

While in Guernsey one of our favourite activities is to go to Muse for Breakfast and then get on the boat to Herm.
If the weather is good, go and sit on the outside section and have poached eggs and sautéed mushrooms on muffin or toast - to die for!!!! Watch the world go by and then get on the trident to Herm.
Great coffee and you will get a small glass of water with lemon to go with it. The fresh orange is delicious but a touch pricey perhaps. Wonderful service and the atmosphere is just perfect.
Do go and have a look at the prints in the loos too!

Visited here on the recommendation of a taxi driver who delivered me here when I said I wanted somewhere with wifi.
I got a table in the corner which was perfect as wanted tea and time to do some work. I ended up having lunch as the food looked amazing! I had a fantastic bacon, egg mayonnaise and tomato club sandwich which was HUGE but absolutely lovely. The bacon was cooked to perfection and the salad was really fresh.
I was not rushed at all which I really like when I am travelling alone. The place was full of business people when I got there and then filled up with locals for lunch.
Lovely place, I will definitely visit again when I am back in Guernsey.

The new Muse is excellent. Elna runs a tight ship and the food, sandwiches are all excellent so much better than Urban Kitchen down the road.
Steve's formula seems to be working as all his restaurant ventures seem to have the magic touch.
This is a service industry and Steve and team provide excellent service.
Try the full English breakfast it is delicious made from premium ingredients.

Muse still provides excellent service, ver friendly and food good, but menu has had a few favourites removed. Bring back the lamb koftkas. Puddings improved, with great honeycomb cake to die for!. Elina runs a good team, will still keep going as Thai fish cakes still on menu.

I always try to lunch at Muse when in Guernsey on business.
Great menu and staff always remember you.
The new look and separation of the deli and cafe works really well.
Superb London-quality Lavazza coffee, too.

Took two of my team for lunch and was keen to try the advertised Tennerfest Menu.
When we arrived the maitr'd stated quite firmly that Tennerfest had not yet started and they were not doing Tennerfest. She asked why I thought they were. I replied that they were in the Tennerfest supplement in the Guernsey Press with a menu.
After that little set back which I felt was very badly dealt with we ordered three paninis which were all delicious and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Just been for a quick lunch treating various work colleagues.
The food was excellent and so was the service.
Could not fault anything including a very nice atmosphere.
Will have to start going more often and meet my wife for lunch there sometimes.

Food was nice but nothing special, mostly sandwiches and wraps. A good spot for a takeaway coffee too.

Muse is right on my office doorstep and I use it a lot for coffee with staff and the occassional business lunch.
I used to buy my sandwiches here but they have priced themselves too highly for me despite the sandwiches being frshly made and very tasty.
Recently I took some business visitors to the island there for lunch. Four of us ate and three thorughly enjoyed their meals although one, who had the pulled pork, said that the meal was much too greasy.
The service, cleanliness and standard of food has greatly improved recently. The owner has an excellent lady running the cafe and he is also there a lot of the time.
Convenient for coffee and a quick read of the paper. wish it was open in the evenings for when I am walking with my wife so we could stop fora quick drink.

Went again to Muse for lunch yesterday. Their new specials, usually two each day are great. Had lamb tagine with couscous, husband had penne pasta with goats cheese , and pulled pork shoulder. Both really tasty and hot, and very quick service. The staff are always very welcoming, and although they dont serve lunch after 2.30 worth getting their in time if you can. They used to serve until 3 pm for lunch and would really like it if they brought that back !

This place has a real potential but rude staff, high prices and quite average quality makes it really uninteresting and not worth it.

We always make the effort to walk out of the town centre, to drink at Muse, we love to sit on the outside terrace, with a coffee, and just watch the world go by. Coffee is excellent, but we haven't eaten here.
