Our room was on first floor with lovely view and was clean and one of the most comfortable beds ever
Hotel overall is looking a bit tired and needs updating but the price we paid for a one night stay was very reasonable

I had a really lovely stay at The Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne. I did have an issue with my room when I arrived, but the staff were absolutely amazing and dealt with it straight away, moving me to another room without any fuss.
The staff were friendly, helpful and made me feel really welcome throughout my stay. The breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of tasty options to choose from.
Overall, I was really impressed with the service and how quickly they resolved the issue. I would definitely stay at The Burlington Hotel again and would happily recommend it to others! 😊

Beautiful old hotel in need of some major renovation. The rooms are spacious and updated, but lack certain amenities that are common in most modern hotels. The carpets definitely need replacement. But we loved the ambiance of this old gem and it must have been really something in its time. For the price it's a bargain and the location is awesome.

Lovely hotel more or less opposite the Pier. Yes its a bit dated and could do with a lick of paint but its in a great position. Food was ok nothing to shout about. No mushrooms at breakfast that's weird and the bacon and black pud seemed to be cooked on one side only.

Only down side the bigger lift is still out of action and the only lift available says maximum 4 people ha no chance, as most of the patrons are of the older age, you can fit 2 people or one with a suitcase. I did see people with wheelchairs and zimmer frames struggling to get in.

Our second visit in 3 months sad to say the lift was still broken and I have read on other reviews it has been broken for months. Taking in to account the working lift states it can take four people the most I have seen being able to fit is only 2. So it is a joke trying to get the lift.i booked the refurbished king room yes so of it was good again the toilet/shower was not even touched rust on the towel rail flanking paint on the window frame which means it was never touched the pressure on the shower was absolutely dreadful. Again housekeeping around toilet area not great I mentioned this in my last review. I shall be back again early next week and would hope for some improvement. Entertainment on Saturday night was not the best she looked like a karaoke singer she was not even well dressed black t-shirt and trousers. Breakfast was good.

It’s in desperate need of a deep clean and some modernising. Only 1 of 2 lifts worked and the one that did could only just fit 2 people and was incredibly slow.

Its not the Ritz bit comfortable .
Location very good . Choices at dinner good some evenings but disappointing once or twice. Safety bars on the bath no high enough for using the shower . Breakfast very greasy . All staff friendly.

A lovely stay at the Burlington hotel
The room was very spacious and having a dule aspect view it was amazing, the bed was very comfortable and having a separate shower from the bath made it so much easier for us. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen, plenty of choice be it full English or cereal.
The Burlington Hotel is a grand old lady well over 170 years old and as such she is in need of a little TLC in places. the main issue was one of the lifts (the larger of the two) was not working, so moving suit cases to & from our room was difficult.
There only seamed to be a gents toilet on the ground floor and no ladies toilet, the only one my wife could find was down another set of stairs which was difficult not only to find but to get to. As most of your gests are elderly it maybe something to look at.

Room was very clean every one of the staff were excellent couldn't fault them or the hotel in any way food was excellent I've already booked to go bsck again I would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone

If you want a reasonable hotel in a very central location , the Burlington is a good choice
Friendly staff and a very good location right on the beach front. Shops and restaurants just around the corner .

Close to seafront
Needs a lot spent on it. Our bathroom needed a really good clean especially the skirting boards and pipes. The shower cubicle needs replacing very dirty. Carpet was badly stained. Lift was out of order. We were using the service lift which would only hold three people. There was always a queue waiting. Not everyone can walk up three flights of stairs. A lady I was talking to said it was the same the last time she came

The position of the hotel is superb as it's close to the shops and the pier and promenade are across the road.
The staff are really lovely and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast was self-service. The choice of foods was good with toast, preserves, pastries, bacon, sausages, fried and scrambled eggs, beans , tomatoes and black pudding. Various cereals and toppings were provided. They also catered for those on gluten free diets. It could be a little manic waiting for the bread to toast and getting your hot drinks.
Parking was in a car park at the rear of the hotel and was usually very busy. It was charged at £6 per day and a problem was if you went out for the day then you weren't guaranteed a space to return to.
One downside was the cleanliness of the bedrooms. It wasn't just a case of the property being old but our room wasn't clean. Housekeeping wasn't automatically provided which wouldn't be a problem if you were only there for a day or two. However, you could request it if needed. I don't mind towels not being changed each day but I do feel the bathroom should be cleaned daily, tea mugs washed and bins emptied.
The other problem which we felt was dangerous was the one tiny lift that was the only one available. It was very narrow and could possibly take 3 people at a squeeze. The doors were heavy metal and closed too quickly often trapping you as you tried to get in and out. The outer wooden door was also very heavy to open.

Our stay at Burlington
Great location and usually priced well, especially if there's a mobile discount. It's definitely faded glory but comfortable and the staff are nice. We generally try to stay here. I haven't had the food options for awhile but remember the breakfast being hot and filling.
The lift was out of service again. There are two, with the larger having issues. It's not great if you have suitcases or can't manage stairs. Our window required a wooden block to hold it open, which didn't allow for much air circulation.

Along the sea front so very convenient. Staff extremely helpful, always had a smile and very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area especially the team on reception. Drinks a bit expensive. Lunch and Breakfast very good
Only one very small lift in reception working the whole weekend which made it very difficult getting up to fourth floor. Always a queue due to this. The bigger lift has apparently been out of order for a long time so needs be fixed asap.
