A very nice stay, my dogs and I had a great time and were made to feel very welcome and looked after Good breakfast. Half board was good value. Staff were outstandingly helpful and kind. I also witnessed them being super helpful with older customers and people with disabilities. They also helped me with my dogs as I was staying solo with my 2 dogs! The hotel itself would benefit from some fresh paint. It’s an old historic building and needs some simple TLC. It doesn’t need to be structural. More brightening up. I think if the colours were lighter and brighter it would really change the interior. Some better choice of tea and coffee would be really nice.

Good would stay again but would not have dinner there again. Location was great . Bed was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good too. Dinner was disappointing, less than i expected, taste and choice very limited.

We loved the location we also booked an upgraded sea view room so we overlooked the pier with a wonderful sea view and view over the famous Eastbourne gardens.
The only problem the hotel is such a large grade 2 listed building the the outside has suffered terribly and will cost millions to restore but at least its still open where others have been forced to close.

The room was adequate, the buffet breakfasts were excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful - my only criticism was the shower in the bathroom was antiquated. Not only was the water pressure extremely weak - the water stopped flowing when the shower spray-head was raised to head height making it impossible to wash your hair, there was no water temperature control - you had to turn on the hot and cold taps separately - but because the water pressure was so poor, the hot tap had to be fully on and if you put the cold tap slightly on to reduce the temperature, the water went stone cold. In the end , we ended up having strip washes at the hand basin.
Such a shame as everything else was very good.

Very pleasant lots to see and bright just hour or so to visit Very central to pier and town Our room was awful. The carpet was filthy toilet sea was set on an angle. No handwash the window very dirty and overlooked car park. We decided to stay another night as we liked the area and our room was changed it was a loverly sea view what a difference it made to our stay

We have been before and came back as the location is perfect, and the staff are wonderful. We upgraded to a superior roo The location was perfect. We had a sea view and overlooked the pier. It’s in need of refurbishment in some areas. We upgraded to a superior room as the standard room was very run down, dirty carpet, and very poor quality. Also the ladies toilet is down in basement so not easily accessible for people with mobility problems.

The Burlington is a historic building and we were very pleased to see that some of the original features still there. But what really impressed us was the attention of the staff. Liam the receptionist gave us a warm and friendly welcome. We will recommend The Burlington to our friends

We had a one night stay at the Burlington. From the outside the hotel looked tired and in need of some maintenance, but once inside the former grandeur of the place was evident, with beautiful chandeliers, nice seating areas and a lovely airy flow to the place. The staff were all very friendly and genuinely couldn't do enough to help us.
We had a lovely large room with a sea view which suited us perfectly. The beds were very comfortable too The lift was a bonus, and worked perfectly. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so are unable to comment on that, but the dining room looked full when we walked past. We were also able to leave our bags in a secure room once we had checked out which was really helpful as we arrived by bus. The location is great, giving easy access to the local amenities.

The view from the room was beautiful. The table fan was really dirty, so much so when it was turned on dust was flying out and room lighting was bad too

It was excellent value but the water both old and hot were poor (not enough pressure for a shower). Otherwise it was very good for the money we paid Water pressure

Hotel is looking a bit tired and could do with a spruce up. The only working lift will only fit 2 adults and one suitcase at a push, the other lift has been out of action for months apparently. The rooms are not serviced while you are there so if you run out of tea, coffee, loo rolls or whatever you have to go to reception for replacements. Our room was on the first floor with a direct sea view and was nicely decorated apart from the windows which showed signs of decay and peeling paint. We had breakfast on both mornings and found a good selection of hot and cold choices. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
