Great stay, great value for money. The bedroom was spotless, the beds were super comfy and the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to help you. The only thing that would make it slightly better would be to serve food a little later than 8pm, but there are restaurants nearby.

It was very pleasant, all in all the hotel was comfortable and tidy but lacking a few bits It was on the sea front by the pier… the staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great..loads of choice The room needed a bit of a freshen up, the tv didn’t work, a small fridge would be very useful

Wonderful holiday at Burlingtons , Eastbourne The location is excellent just infront of the pier. The reception staff Sarah was very sweet. The buffet breakfast was very good with a variety of hot & cold items. The tiny lift which holds only 2 people is a problem, especially when the hotel gets crowded

You have to ask for your room to be cleaned, only one small lift working, would recommend asking for a room on the in floors as my wife and I had to walk up four floors and we are both in our late 70's not good ,staff friendly food good

Exceptional view from room. Breakfast great with gluten-free options. It was extremely hot in the hotel. Terrible bathroom. Mould on the wall. Shower curtain stuck to our bodies. Very rundown but atmospheric. Lift Terrible. Ended up taking luggage down hazardous stairs.

The Burlington is a fascinating historic building in a beautiful seafront location, and I appreciate the effort involved in maintaining a property of this age. Unfortunately, it appears to be in need of significant refurbishment. The worn, stained carpets made the room feel less clean than it likely was, and there were other signs of deferred maintenance such as peeling paint. We had read previous reviews mentioning bed bugs, so we chose to leave our luggage in the car as a precaution, although we did not experience any issues ourselves. With continued investment and maintenance, I think this hotel could be a wonderful place to stay, and I would certainly consider returning in the future.

Great location and reasonable value, but set your expectations low Great location on Eastbourne seafront. Has its own space limited car park - £6 per day. Good value breakfast (esp if purchased the previous evening). Lots of lounge space Major issue with only one working tiny lift (more space in an average wardrobe) for a hotel with guest rooms on floors 1-4 … completely unacceptable. Rooms are small and have tired decor and stained carpets. Beds are comfortable but small. Hotel needs major investment / refurbishment internally and externally.

Great location with ocean views and comfortable rooms. Great location and very comfortable, spacious room with a spectacular ocean view. There are some repairs that need to be made to the lifts. I found several elder patrons with walkers waiting for an elevator that never came. And the second one was not functioning at all.

Fantastic stay. Thanks. The room was a bit worm as it's a hot summer. The fan provided was too small for the room and was less powerful. The room was big and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel reception staff was not helpful and when I reported the tv wasn't working they told me they couldn't help me they had no one there to fix it. The hotel was a bit run down and the lift was not working. The good things was the food and location but I would not stay there again dew to the staff and condition of the hotel.

very nice lovely breakfast, large clean rooms front exterior very shabby, with weeds and plants growing from frontage. A days work could make it look so much nicer. I was tempted to do it myself

Great location, cross the road to lovely promenade. Sea views from some rooms. Lovely, helpful staff. Good breakfast, decent 3 course dinner is £22 each. Convenient for town, restaurants, buses & train station. Housekeeping did a good job refreshing towels etc, but as usual with many hotels now a full cleaning, bedmaking service is not provided. Just ask at reception if you want towels changed or more tea, coffee, milk etc. The hotel was built as houses in about 1850 & is grade 2 listed. It has it's faults, charms & many quirks (a lift that 2 people + 1 piece of luggage can get in being one, the other lift was out of order the week we were here). Floor boards uneven & make a noise, carpets in some areas need cleaning/replacing, much of the furniture is dated. Water for a shower was luke warm at best but ok at this time of year. The Grand hotel that is just along the sea front was about the same price for a 2 night stay as we paid for a 7 night stay for a sea view room on bed & breakfast. We would definitely return.
Cornfield Road (and the town centre are about ten minutes walk) this is where the bus to Brighton leave from. (Last stop on the 12X in Brighton is 5 minutes from Brighton Pavillion & pier). Bus 99 stop to the left of hotel just past pier on hotel side goes to Hastings. Bus stop to the left of hotel just past pier on opposite side of road is the stop for the hop on hop off bus that goes to Beachy Head, Seven Sisters, Birling Gap etc.

The location is excellent, the staff were all great as always especially sarah on reception who deserves a big shout out. The whole hotel could do with some updating, squeaky floorboards everywhere, only 1 lift working which is also very small which means a lot of waiting, that said hotel is still very good value for money.

It was okay People were lovely Couldn’t use the bathroom as there was no water pressure, and they are saying that they do have car park but the car park was full and I had to leave the car away.

Loved the location and the staff were friendly and helpful. No air-conditioning, poor decor, both out of date and a state of disrepair.
Restaurant was ok if you picked the right dishes, but poor if your choice was unlucky.
