No room service but would of expected the bins to be emptied. The rooms need a good update. Really grubby. Windows need a good clean ,in all the hotel needs a good paint job ,looking very tired.

Housekeeping needs looking at our room 412 down the side of the toilet has not been cleaned for a very long time dust thick on the pipes and disregard used toilet paper.
The actual toilet is so close to the wall there is no room to sit on it properly.
The sink and mirror are that old they need replacing asap.
Breakfast was very good
Reception staff were excellent.
Busy weekend and only one lift working which is crazy for a busy hotel.

It was good for the price.
The breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect as it is right on the seafront opposite the pier.

A Great Place To Be On Holiday.
I have stayed here for about 3 years off and on. It's in a great location. Next to some really nice restaurants and shops and of course right across the road from the seafront and Pier. I love to swim in the sea and this hotel is so convenient for this. I had a corner sea view from my hotel window and I didn't even have to pay extra for it. The beds were very comfy, and my room was very nice and cool even in this hot weather as I had two windows with a nice cross breeze and a fan in the room too. The breakfasts were nice and very filling. The room had a nice bathroom with a great shower.
Most of the staff were lovely. But 1 woman was a bit rude. She refused to get me an extra pillow when I asked for it. The room could get a bit noisy in the evenings with workmen working late with heavy goods machinery till about 10:30 at night and big groups of teenage students shouting. But I know this noise wasn't the hotel's fault.

Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast is really good and the hotel is a firm favourite. Only downside this visit was no check on our room during this stay. I didn’t need towels replacing so hung them up instead of on the floor. But , no replenished clean cups and tea , coffee , milk, toilet paper, bins emptied etc.

Ideal location for a very short stay only
Great location and lovely view of the pier from the sea-views rooms. Bar prices are reasonable and live entertainment quite enjoyable
Unfortuately the hotel is tired - the front simply needs a coat of paint and the removal of weeds all along the front and window ledges to vastly improve the image. Lifts are old and tiny and the bed was small

Efficient check-in. Friendly helpful staff. Friendly clientele as it's used by coach holiday parties. Liked being opposite beach. Room small but nicely refurbed. Pretty quiet.
Its a big old hotel, like so many in UK, and is showing its age, particularly externally. But I feel they've made the best of it in service and it's affordable. Not posh but comfortable. Tried to have a drink in the conservatory bars but was either noisy with Wimbledon showing or loud quiz questions going on. But Im in a minority I think!
