A nice stsy
Great staff, amazing place, love the historical feel, and air of slightly faded grandeur. Great view from the breakfast room and staff were really nice. Lovely to walk out and be right next to the beach and pier

The hotel is in a wonderful sea front spot but the hotel problems somewhat spoilt the experience.
The meals were good and the dining staff were friendly and efficient.
The lift. The bigger of two lifts was out of order leaving one small lift that was very shaky and held only 2 or 3 people. It was insufficient at busy times.
The fire door on the ground floor that had to be used to enter or exit the stairs was extremely heavy and had a very tight spring to ensure that it closed. The problem with this was that it easily caught a person in the door way.
The hot water in the rooms was only tepid.
There was no ladies toilet on the ground floor, the so called downstairs toilet was down a flight of stairs and my friend who struggles with stairs found this very awkward.

Great long weekend at a brilliant seaside resort
Seaview and parking available albeit first come first srrved and charged separately- £6, good value.

Excellent location. Lovely breakfast.
Main lift was out of order. Was also out of order a month ago. Only 1 tiny lift available and our room was on the 4th floor. Room 435 sometimes no water came out of the cold tap. The shower was right infront of bathroom window but the blind was only long enough to cover the top half of the window.

The shower needed attention as water pressure was very poor. Thin walls, voices, snoring and tv heard. Not hotel problem but very noisy corridor activity!

Hotel was lovely, and issue with original room but after speaking to reception staff they offered an alternative room, with no hesitation, which we gratefully accepted. Food was great, breakfast buffet and a choice of a 3 course meal in the evening for an additional cost or a great selection of bar food offered from noon til 8pm.

A bargain hotel with great bed and food foid
The bed was very comfy, and the duvet cover was spotless . The room is a bit dated but not bothered by that. Great location near the pier.

Amazing had the best room, staff were always helpful, happy and welcoming.
Perfect , central for the town ,restaurants local cafes and lovely walks all the way along the seafront and pier.
Bar meals were really good,Breakfast wasn’t so good, sausages were really greasy the scrambled egg had the strangest texture, just wasn’t enjoyable.

My conference stay.
The location was great, easy walking to the winter garden's, parking on site. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice. The bars were very competitively priced.
Not as clean as I expected, room wasn't cleaned during my stay. There was only 1 lift available and the hotel was full. Most people had to use the stairs, cleanliness could be much better. The shower was only warm and not very good pressure.
