Great!! Don’t let the outside of the building put you off. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly. Our room on the third floor was very spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the water and jetty Bathroom spotless. Water hot with good pressure.

Great location, comfortable stay and excellent staff. The room we stayed in needed a bit of a reverb as did some of the hotel, however we would go back because we had a comfortable stay. There are parts of the hotel which need a little modernisation.

Room I had was very basic, very small TV, lots of areas had patched up repairs.

Just arrived at the Burlington hotel Eastbourne stayed here in August had a standard room that was clean and spacious. But very disappointed this time the room as a bath not a shower room. shower is in bath paint pealing by the window wall. TV wall as hand prints carpet is quite dirty and behind the sink is quite dirty. We came back because we were impressed last time but we are disappointed this time.

The hotel really needs a complete refurbishment. The ceiling in our room had water stains. It was not clean at all. One pillow provided on the bed. Shower gel dispenser was empty. Carpets outside of the room stained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, we would not stay there again. Booked a sea view and got a side room with partial sea view.

I wanted to spend my birthday by the seaside and Berlington Hotel was perfect, not very far from the pier and public transport .My room was perfect with sea view,very spacious with a shower .Very friendly and helpful staff. I think more waiters should be available as we had to get our drinks ourselves from the bar to the dining area ,there was loads of elderly, guests with mobility issues and difficult to carry drinks while waking,so that would be extremely helpful.

The room was inexpensive. and definitely worth the price for an overnight stay. Simple and comfortable enough for one night. Just one detail to note – early check-out at 10 AM.

We really enjoyed our stay here, room was clean with good facilities. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful making us feel at home straight away.
The location is perfect for the beach and pier also gets excellent sunrises if you're up early enough.
Breakfast selection was excellent and the evening menu was very varied each time.
A very traditional hotel that I would definitely stay at again.

Nice place to stay. Entertainment some evenings is pretty good. Drink prices not a rip off. Good choice breakfast. Room servicing needs to improve a bit.

Food was tasty and delicious.. Staff were helpful and friendly..sort staff in restaurant but reception staff helped as we were going theatre and we would have been late if not stood in!
Car park but £6 a day !
And not secure as car window was broken after 4 days stay .

A great location right on the front opposite the pier, the staff are very helpful, the food was nice,help yourself breakfast and a set dinner menu or a different menu for a extra price, the hotel is very dated and could do with a lot of work around the place but if you want to stay for a couple of days it's perfect...

This hotel vastly exceeded the expectations that I had of it beforehand. The staff on the reception desks were all very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast each morning was great. I liked how you could have it anytime between 7.30-9.30 on weekdays and didn't have to book a slot. The evening meal options were also great. I was able to book onto the 3 course evening meal at the last minute on a couple of occasions. I had bar food on other nights.
My room had everything in it that I needed. For a single, it was very spacious compared to lots of places. It was good that there was free Wifi available in the rooms.
There were no problems that I experienced during my stay here. There were only very minor issues with the room such as the walls in the bedroom could do with touching up as there were cracks in places. Also some of the carpets could do with been replaced around the hotel as they are old and stained. Having a room above a bar meant it could get a bit noisy at night.

Excellent location and great value for money. The room was warm and comfortable, with the heating already on when we arrived. Not sure if it can be adjusted manually, but overall, a solid and pleasant place to spend the evening.

The hotel was in need of tlc. The rooms were respectable although fairly basic. Food was great and breakfast had good selection so it was worth the money just for that. Parking was extra in car park to rear but that was helpful because the hotel is overlooking the seafront and pier.
All in all you get what you pay for and it's not the Ritz!
