Things to do in October half term in Bolton 2014

This year October half term is between Monday 27th October to Friday 31st October 2014 and as always there’s lots going on in Bolton. With Halloween happening during half term too, there’s even more going on than usual.

Fidgets are once again holding their Halloween party. For only £8 children can enjoy two hours of games, food and drink, disco and a prize for the best fancy dress costume. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly and are first come, first served so you best order quick by calling 01204 876691.

You can pick up your fancy dress costumes from Fancy That. They have an incredible selection of costumes available.

At Smithills Open Farm, there will be haunted tractor rides, spooky walks and so much more. The animals will be there too of course so book your tickets for their Halloween spectacular by telephoning 01204 875831.

Jesus Christ Superstar is the performance at the Bolton Albert Halls over the October Half Term. People of all ages will love this classic musical. 

Cineworld will be showing lots of family films over the week.

Nevada Roller Rink is a fabulous place to spend a few hours. Get your skates on and enjoy the excellent rink with a few friends,

For the adults head down to Mecca Bingo or G Casino for some over 18’s fun.

Bolton Lads and Girls Club always have a cracking holiday club for young people during the school holidays and this year is no exception. There will be quizzes, sports, games and so much more.

The Hive at Moss Bank Park is sure to be a lot of fun, with plenty of arts and crafts for kids to get involved in.

The Last Drop Hotel is holding a spectacular firework display on 26th October and as well as that there will be music, food and drink stalls and children’s entertainers. Leverhulme Park have their firework display on Friday 31st October. As well as all the fireworks, there’ll be food and drink stands, rides, winter wonderland and the long awaited Christmas light switch on.

Bromley Cross Library are holding spooky stories and Halloween Arts and Crafts during October half term. You can make some scary masks and listen to frightening tales.

The learning doesn’t stop during half term. At Bolton Museum children will get the chance to speak to real scientists and celebrate the Manchester Science Festival.

At Smithills Hall on Halloween there is going to be a ghost walk, paranormal experiments and so much more.

Finally Hall I’th Wood Museum are holding their discovery days, this time with a creepy theme! There is going to be tons of arts and crafts to join in with.
