Do you want to hire an apprentice in Bolton?

The new mayor of Bolton, Cllr Martin Donaghy, has launched a campaign to encourage firms to recruit more apprentices, in association with The Bolton News. He hopes that 50 businesses will take on apprentices in 50 weeks.

All the companies who recruit an apprentice as part of this scheme will be published in The Bolton News and be supported in finding the right apprentice and the right training provider.

The mayor himself was an apprentice so he knows first-hand how much benefit completing an apprenticeship can bring. You earn money as you learn vital skills to succeed in the workplace.

At the best of Bolton we have some superb training providers to help you find the perfect future employee. Alliance Learning have new apprenticeship vacancies advertised on a regular basis, in areas such as childcare and business administration. They provide constant support for both employers and employees throughout the period of doing an apprenticeship.

Bolton College also regularly works with apprentices to help them secure a better job for the future. They have full and part time courses in many different subjects
