Bolton Lads and Girls Club are once again running their brilliant holiday club in October half term (Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November) for 8-12 year olds. An amazing 1,500 young people have passed through BLGC’S doors for their holiday club over the past 4 years, proving just how popular it is.
If you book a child onto the holiday club before the 27th October you’ll be able to enjoy the discounted booking rate that’ll save you £12. This is because if you book before then the cost is £5 for the full day (8am-6pm) or £3 for the 11am-6pm session and then on or after the 27th October it is £8 for the full day and £6 for the 11am-6pm session. Children must be a member of BLGC to attend the holiday club.
The food at this year’s club has been improved with the arrival of a new onsite chef. He’ll be preparing BLGC members’ healthy and nutritious food at very affordable prices (£1 for one course or £2 for 2 courses) and is served between midday and 1pm every day.
You can book and pay for your child’s lunch beforehand. All main courses come with potatoes and vegetables but every day there’s something different to choose from. On Monday it’s a choice of pastas, Tuesday it’s roast ham dinner or cheese and tomato flan, Wednesday it’s meat and potato pie or cheesy leek crumble, Thursday it’s chicken kebab or Cajun spiced vegetable and on Friday it’s fish and chips day. A different dessert is dished up every day too and these delicious afters include fresh fruit salad, bakewell tart and chocolate flan and fresh cream.
The activities running during this holiday club are just as fantastic too. On Tuesday 29th October there will be science workshops running all day and on Friday 1st November a day trip to South Lakes Animal Park has been organised.
