UK quality mark for Petroc
The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) has confirmed the quality and standards of provision at Petroc following its review in November 2014.
Would you like to attend The Prince’s Trust Explore Enterprise Course, running in Barnstaple on 24th – 27th February at Barnstaple Fire station. The Prince’s Trust Explore Enterprise course is a four day exploration of the skills and requirements a person will need to become self employed.
The A Level Performance Tables published by the Department for Education last week reveal that Petroc is among the top 5% of colleges in the country for A Levels, the only college in Devon to achieve this, and is placed second in the whole of the South West.
Exceptional A Level and Access to HE students returned to Petroc last night (January 7) for the college’s annual celebration evening.
The purpose of National School Meals Week (NSMW), which is run by the Local Authority Caterers Association (LACA) is to promote awareness of healthy eating in Britain's Primary and Secondary schools, and everyone is encouraged to get involved! A new project in North Devon and Torridge has been launched aimed at developing customer service skills for businesses throughout the area. The project, entitled ‘Skills for Seasonal Workers’, is run by North Devon+ and the Employment & Skills Board in conjunction with Education + Training Skills. It offers 20 free in-work training opportunities for local businesses to develop customer service.
Bicton College Principal David Henley greeted delegates in his home this week, welcoming them from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania as part of Bicton Overseas Agricultural Trust’s latest intake.
