Gainsborough’s House has Family Drop in Days run from 10am to 1.30pm every Tuesday, with the opportunity to view their exhibitions.  In addition there are a variety of events taking; August 4; make your own picture frame, August 11; have a go at fabric printing, August 18; create a model from one of Thomas Gainsborough’s landscapes and August 25; Tom’s Trunk, Fake or Forture.

Keep the whole family active this summer at South Suffolk Leisure!  Go swimming and enjoy the Wet ‘n’ Wild fun session weekdays in the holidays at Kingfisher Leisure Pool.  Little Kingfishers children up to 10 years can have great fun exploring the 4-tiered play frame which includes a ball pool.  Babies have their own area which provides a safe sensory & interactive with ball pool. 

A great way of discovering some of Sudbury’s history is to walk the Talbot Trail and follow the bronzes depicting Sudbury’s heritage.  A booklet is available at the Tourist Information Centre for only 50p with details of the history behind each of the sculptures and map for a fascinating walk around the town.

Free lunchtime concerts continue every Tuesday throughout August between 12.30pm and 1.30pm in St. Peter’s featuring local musicians and they are now looking for more players and singers for 2016.

 

Other free events to watch are the Sudbury Rowing Regatta on Saturday, August 1 which takes place on Friars Meadow and the Sudbury Carnival on Sunday, August 30 with the procession going from Alexandra Road around the town, returning to the Delphi Sports Ground.
