February. The month of romance, pancakes and Nutella, yes Nutella. A great pointless fact for February is that on the 5th it is world Nutella day.

If you’re looking forward to Valentine’s Day, Sudbury is the perfect destination. It has an array of hair and beauty salons for that special pamper preparation and a wonderful selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes, perfect for a romantic meal. You can pick up a personal heart-warming gift at one of our many independent shops and larger stores or book a show at Sudbury’s wonderfully diverse Quay Theatre.

The Quay has everything you need to keep you entertained during February, a rock anthems and power ballads show on the 3rd, comedy shows on the 4th and 17th and an open music night on the 26th to name a few. To book or find out more call 01787 374745 or visit http://www.quaysudbury.com

If you’re more of an outdoors person or one of the few managing to stick to your healthy living new year resolutions, there are a number of blue badge guided walks in and around Sudbury. Find out more about the diverse history of Thomas Gainsborough, Simon of Sudbury, England’s silk capital and much more, by booking a guided walk at the tourist information centre. TIC details

The Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts is a competitive festival open to people of all ages. It’s a month of events with Dance from the 11th at Ormiston Sudbury Academy and Music from the 28th at The Delphi Centre. To find out more visitwww.sudburyfestival.org.uk

Finally, Sudbury welcomes some fresh faces to the high street, ‘Best Estates’ estate agent, a local produce farm shop ‘The Pantry’ and a new vegan café ‘Kind Cuisine’.
