The children’s school holidays are now upon us and there is plenty for them to do.

The River Stour Trust have extra boat trips on Wednesdays during August, always popular for children, adults and even dogs! The tea shop at the Granary will also be open for teas, delicious homemade cakes and cream teas.

This month on Julie’s Jaunts features Sudbury’s  Heritage Museum. They have just produced a  quiz sheet for children to become detectives and solve all the clues. The quiz sheet even comes with a clip board! And it’s all free.

Sudbury’s big event for August is the Rowing Regatta in its 150th year. It’s this Saturday 3rd August by the river in Friars Meadow. Take along some chairs and a picnic – a lovely spot to sit and watch the boats race.

Above all enjoy August and maybe let us know which events you particularly enjoyed

Hello! I'm Penny from thebestof Sudbury, shouting about the best local businesses from Hadleigh through the Clare. When I'm not doing that, you'll find me knitting socks or tending to my 6 chickens
